OSOL Chatroom

A web-based chat interface to the OSOL chatroom is provided below. If you already have your own IRC client, please join us in #osol on the Freenode network.

To use this interface, simply type a nickname for yourself in the nickname field and click the "Connect" button!  New users do not need to check the "Auth to services" box.  Users with existing freenode usernames may use the "Auth to services" checkbox to log in with their own usernames.

Once connected, you can chat with other users in the #osol chatroom.  

Connecting to other IRC channels

There are other channels that are used by the wider Evergreen and Koha communities.  You can use this same web page to get to those other channels.  To get to the Evergreen channel, type "/join #evergreen" in the command line below.

The Koha community maintains its own IRC chatroom at irc.katipo.co.nz (join #koha). If you don't have an IRC client, you can access the Koha chatroom through the Mibbit service here.

When you're done in a particular chatroom, you can close this window, navigate to another page on the Open Source - Open Libraries website, or type "/exit" to quit the chat program.
